Need a good laugh? My fav. story of the day. Bonus - hilarious comments section

It's the story about Iowa GOPer who introduced the affirmative action legislation for conservative professors at Iowa public Universities, who it turned out lied about his degrees. I read about it else where but the way this item is written, and the details added - I found hilarious. Read it at least to what he was known for before politics (aka what he did as Chicken man.)

And the comments on the item - took me to tears (from laughing so hard.) http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slatest/2017/03/01/iowa_republican_trying_to_kneecap_state_universities_got_his_business_degree.html

Sample comment: The real scandal is that he was wait-listed by Taco Bell U.

and: Sizzler is known to be a liberal hotbed in the area of the baked potato bar and soda fountain. #socialist #freerefills

We were on the phone when she was reading it - I knew the second she hit the chickenman sentence.

If it isn't I sight I read regularly (ie DU, TPM, and WaPo), I don't tend to read comments. But I had read one other report on this story (the Sizzler angle) - and this had more ironic details (down to dude's version of 'chickenman') that I was curious to the responses. Didn't expect such hilarity.

Had to share.

Glad you enjoyed.

Sometimes - when news is so alarming (as those items breaking tonight) - I find laughs are needed.

I've always loved a good laugh. These days, it seems it's more of a necessity.

I actually feel sorry for people that don't have a good sense of humor. It must be tough to go through life and not be able to enjoy a good laugh.

because there was discussion around the nuances of what "well done" per individual definitions of well done vs. medium well, and there is great dispute of whether ketchup is a condiment, or a vegetable and can be served as a side dish.* Oh how he must have suffered. It is what caused him to race around in a chicken suit spraying beer at people from a super soaker.

*Reference to Reagan era decision to classify ketchup as a vegetable, not a condiment, in the school lunch program.
