Let’s be crystal clear about this: If roles were reversed, and we were dealing with President Hillary Clinton and her surrogates instead of President Trump and his surrogates, the Republicans would have begun impeachment proceedings on the afternoon of the inauguration.

No, wait, strike that. They would have shut down the government, nullified the election, and demanded a new one.

No, wait, strike that. They would have just thrown Hillary in jail and appointed Trump President.

Which, when you think about it, is what they wanted all along.

There wouldn't have had to be any national security or Russian implications for the R's in Congress to have already begun impeachment proceedings involving parsing a snippet of her testimony about classified info in her emails.

I have always thought R's would have impeached Gore and he would have been defeated in disgrace in 2004 election had 9/11 happened under his watch with clear evidence he ignored warnings about Bin Laden striking US, the way Bush did (and Condie Rice lied about that).
