Why is no one asking that question?
He must be meeting a number of Republicans, and because of Trump's win, a number of Trump republicans, those in his campaign (staff) and those aligned with him (Sessions et al.)
Let's try to focus some attention on the ambassador's attendance at the Republican National Convention!

Sessions then spoke individually to some of the ambassadors, including Kislyak, the official said. In the informal exchanges, the ambassadors expressed appreciation for his remarks and some of them invited him to events they were sponsoring, said the official, citing a former Sessions staffer who was at the event.

Apparently the Heritage Foundation hosted a side-session during the RNC where the Ambassador was there and eventually met up with Beauregard. I have seen past posts about attempts at getting the RNC platform plank about Ukraine revised. And of course we know who runs Heritage now (DeMint) - http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/donald-trump-heritage-foundation_us_57aa2d40e4b06e52746dfea9

Will have to add Beauregard in there. The "altered platform on Ukraine" was a significant thing.

There is no better example than this year that it takes TIME to move the courses of nations.

(68,552 posts)They coordinated with Russia over the election hacking...hope we can prove it. Another poster said it is not treason as we are not at war...but the Rosenberg's were tried and executed when we were not at war...a miscarriage of justice in my opinion. The point is people have been charged when were not at war.

(15,805 posts)Approval to allow the Russian Ambassador to attend the Republican National Convention had to come from the top, from Trump and his handlers, or the head of the RNC, Reince Priebus, maybe the majority leaders in the Senate and House as well. So who made the first contact? Did the Republicans reach out the the Russian spy master, or did the spy already have a mole buried inside the GOP leadership who facilitated his invitation?

(128,844 posts)hosted a side session during the RNC where a bunch of Ambassadors were invited and Sessions gave a speech at it. I had found one site that apparently had the video of that side speech but then the video on the site was taken down.
So their buddy crazy DeMint is deep in it too.
And as a note - I just saw a youtube of the CSPAN Beauregard confirmation hearing where the poster of the video proclaimed the CSPAN video was "fake news".
