From an Environmental Protection Agency staffer:

Sharing with permission.:
From an Environmental Protection Agency staffer: "So I work at the EPA and yeah it's as bad as you are hearing: The entire agency is under lockdown, the website, facebook, twitter, you name it is static and can't be updated. All reports, findings, permits and studies are frozen and not to be released. No presentations or meetings with outside groups are to be scheduled.
Any Press contacting us are to be directed to the Press Office which is also silenced and will give no response.
All grants and contracts are frozen from the contractors working on Superfund sites to grad school students working on their thesis.
We are still doing our work, writing reports, doing cancer modeling for pesticides hoping that this is temporary and we will be able to serve the public soon. But many of us are worried about an ideologically-fueled purging and if you use any federal data I advise you gather what you can now. We have been told the website is being reworked to reflect the new administration's policy.
Feel free to copy and paste, you all pay for the government and you should know what's going on. I am posting this as a fellow citizen and not in any sort of official capacity."

The Plutocrats had their media air Trump 24/7 during the campaign, this was a set up deal. Donald had his Russian connection going on to help him in and now, once in, he has put other Plutocrats directly in charge of the agencies that stood in their way. They are making it safe to pollute, favor their own interests etc.

They have Sessions (for now) to not investigate them, get rid of regulations that prevent them from raping and pillaging, and now have 5 tort reform bills that will keep us from suing them for the harm that they cause to all of us!

We have literally been taken over in a coup! What Trump and Co., have done, deceptively misrepresenting their intentions in order to get elected would be illegal in business. In Texas it would violate our Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA) "Knowingly and intentionally misrepresenting goods or services with the intent not to sell them as advertised... "

16. Your last paragraph is interesting. It'd be great if there were some standard that he violated,

something with teeth. Unfortunately, intent would be nearly impossible to prove.

of thing. Left-wing fake news monitors are seeing a lot of fake postings from supposed inside leakers that are not real.

This one is unattributed, which makes it questionable, but of course we know that in essence at least much is true. The EPA budget is being gutted, the money instead diverted to such things as building a ridiculous southern wall and creating an agency for blaring stories of victims of immigrant crime.

Nevertheless, soaking up fake information will cook our brains as surely as anyone else's. Anyone who cares about maintaining good judgment should be careful and verify, verify, verify.

I'd heard about some of those rogue sites, but it's nice to have them listed here, too.
