(2,955 posts)Nothing will happen to Sessions. This administration has zero accountability period. I mean they're the ones in control, who's gonna stand up to them? In the end people are gonna throw a fit and demand his resignation, he'll undoubtedly get off on some technicality or legal loophole, people will throw another fit, and then life will go on like usual.
They say all it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. Nobody is gonna do a damn thing.

(5,810 posts)in the 90s with a church group. The ambassador at that time told him he was not a believer but that they welcomed church groups. And yet when it came to the substantive things he talked to him about at a meeting in September 2016 he had no recollection. Talk about selective memory. With memory issues like that, could he even do the job of attorney general???

(14,274 posts)Everyone be wary. He is backed into a corner and has no respect for us or the rule of law. He has billions of dollars on the line and he is not going to give that up without a fight to the death.

(5,810 posts)With his narcissism raging out of control, he might try to gin up a quick war with, say...North Korea. It would be difficult to proceed with impeachment hearings if we were up to our ears in a war. He NEEDS a quick distraction to save his presidency (and his money) from certain disaster. One of his favorite words, I might add.

So, he won't resign...unless the alternative is prison.
and until he becomes so toxic that not even the GOP can continue on in denial - and denial is their natural state - I don't see a serious threat of prison on the horizon.
My dream is that they all go down together. To include Ryan and McConnell.
Alas...
