(68,455 posts)in Cortland...towards Warren right off of Route 11. My kids go to YSU...which is really starting to bring Youngstown back...have a nice theatre (Victorian Players), some good restaurants...and our favorite vet Dr Ebert...sadly he died, but the practice is still there. I like this area very much...lived all over.

(10,819 posts)to the Washington Post following the election. Felt they were doing really good investigative reporting during the campaign and that we (as citizens) would particularly need a dedicated press during this dreadful Administration. Money well spent in my mind. I already subscribed to the NYT and now both papers are competing for journalistic kudos.
Works for me!
If we want eyes and ears and analyses on what's going on, we need to support our press outlets as our means will allow. They're doing important, democracy survival work. The lapdog days are receding. And the newly awakened watchdogs have sharp teeth and revved up appetites. Good for them! And us.

(19,558 posts)I also added the NYT to my subscription list. I felt we needed to support them for their journalism coverage about Trump.
