This is very informative and explains how intel committees get classified info. They may have to subpoena FBI to get the info they need. He explains what the FBI is after (developing the facts to prosecute) and how that can conflict with what the intel committees are after - protection of national security interests - and this has to take priority over the FBI developing a case for prosecution.

no offense against Nancy, I love her and all the work she's done for us.

But if we're really moving on in the Dem party, Schiff looks like a rising star we could get behind.

I kept think about the way the admin had been pushing HARD the "there's nothing there...nothing to report...our sources tell us that nothing's there. etc".

Now that all makes sense. Now we understand why they felt free to go that far. IOW, even if there was something there....you'll never see it.

6. I can only think of two reasons for the FBI to do this.

One is that they are not holding an honest investigation. The other is that they are investigating members of congress concerning the issue. I hope it is the latter.

whereas Schiff says Intel committees are after protecting the American people. Except Burr and Chaffetz who clearly have a stake in the game and are obstructing. Wonder how far deep this goes in Congress. We know McConnell was complicit at minimum to the extent of refusing to release info before the election and Paul Ryan has to be in on the deal as well.

Another explanation is that Trump may be blackmailing Comey. It's the least he would do.

He suspects certain personnel on committee not to be trusted. (my opinion, it could be Nunes among others)
