This analysis lays it all out: let the repugs say, "It's all coincidence, there's nothing there there." There is too much evidence of financial/political ties of TrumpRussia for that to be believable, except for Dump followers who don't read or follow news reports.

The evidence is mounting and Trump should resign before Putin starts murdering American reporters who are digging. I worry for them

reporting is itself part of an extremely interesting new, left-wing media phenomenon: Anti-trumpism Facebook sites designed to reach and move large numbers of people, similar to right-wing propaganda sites but based on factual, real news--because liberals themselves tend to require that.

Facebook's anti-Trump news surge: 'I want to be as blunt as a punch in the nose,' says Dan Rather, whose page has gained a million followers in less than two months. ... Rather told POLITICO that he views News and Guts as a news site, one beholden to facts, even if its take on President Donald Trump is a negative one.

The success of these Facebook pages seems to bear that out: the more authentic the commentary on these pages seems, the more successful they are.

For example, News and Guts linked to a column by Jack Shafer in POLITICO Magazine earlier this week. The post garnered nearly 50,000 likes and more than 2,000 comments on the News and Guts Facebook page, thanks in part to the commentary attached to it.

“YO, REPORTERS … THIS ISN’T ABOUT YOU. Just do your job. That’s our message to journalists covering Donald Trump,” the post said. “Don’t get sucked in or suckered in to the ‘media is ruining our lives’ bs. Don’t apologize and don’t back down. Be immensely proud of what you do because, in the end, it will most likely be your work that saves this nation.” ...

Another, the Democratic Coalition Against Trump, was founded in April 2016, and now has more than 250,000 followers. These upstarts produce little original content, and in some cases barely come across as publications at all. Instead, they aggregate news stories that are often critical of Trump, adding piquant commentary that ensures maximum spread across Facebook.

"...except for Dump followers who don't read or follow news reports."

DU is referred to as the DUmp at conservative cave and Discussionist.

Maybe I'm misreading your post.

the troglodytes. Although this OP is a very useful summary on where we seem to be with the dossier, to me the source chosen, and what this social media development means for fighting trumpism--and promoting liberal and progressive government, is the most notable aspect of the OP.

A few weeks ago there was a conservative that posts over at Discussionist saying that he plays the Dems like a fiddle here at DU and even got some of them to donate hearts to him on valentines day.

I suppose I'm being paranoid.

I'm sorry.
