I tape her show always. And she's getting better and better. I hope she wins a Peabody or Emmy.

3. Yep, she's a very good investigative reporter. Be sure to check out Joy Reid and Lawrence ODonnell

...they are very good as well. Lawrence is on weekday evening right after Rachel. Joy Reid on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

All 3 are excellent.

4. Higher percentage of growth in your own audience does not represent an increase in marketshare.

99% of 1000 < 31% of 100,000

5. Ignoring those numbers, I think you may be missing

the real point. More people are INTERESTED in what liberally oriented media have to say in a way they were not before. Don't have numbers, but this increase seems to be an indicator of an awakening, not a total.

If the election were held today, all those hyenas 2016 put in office would be watching from the other side of TV screens.

8. I'm not missing the point. I just don't think the numbers illustrate the point.

You are showing numbers for Fox as a whole and for CNN as a whole, versus one show on MSNBC. That whole increase could be from within MSNBC--people tired of Chris Hayes, for instance, or people finally letting go of Ed Schulz.

I must confess I did not read the article, though. I can't get past the hyperbolic language in the bulk of Politicus articles. They often sound like the Communist party papers they would hand out on street corners on the North Side of Chicago in the 70s.

Btw, these are not my numbers, I'm just commenting on what I think is important here.

I do agree you with insisting on reliable fact-based information and fact-based analysis.

buy cannot forget that every time I watch MSNBC, I'm helping to pay the salaries of Joe scab and Chris Matthews. that is why not watch. yeah yeah Rachel might have to wind up getting a job at Russia today, but I cannot eat at the table of MSNBC as they do their job more effectively than Fox News.

a Russian billionaire who seems to have hooked up with Der Fuhrer along the campaign trail numerous times. Odd their planes would mysteriously appear at the same airport together time and time again. Especially when it's a little backwater town in North Carolina.

She was the only MSM journalist who helped expose the corruption of the Duke Energy coal ash spill to the citizens of NC- all of the other local journalists tried to help the McCrory admin to sweep it under the rug. Maddow is right up there with Mike Wallace and the old 60 Minutes' crew!

13. Rachel's program is available as an audio podcast.

The entire program (sans adverts) is available some time after she finishes at 10 PM ET, usually some time after 11 PM ET. The download is only about 10 MB, so even cell phone data limits won't interfere with snagging it.

Just point your podcast aggregator towards "Rachel Maddow", select the audio version, and subscribe.

I grab it every week night that she's on.

Love Rachel!
