McConnell refused to have hearings on the SC vacancy. He said the next president would fill that spot. He KNEW who that would be. His wife got a cushy job out of that. Of course they knew what was going on. Refused to have hearings about this, too, since it would look like "partisan politics" !!! The irony.! Surely the next few elections will help drain the swamp, since those in DC refuse to do it.

authoritarian cohesiveness when gathered behind their leader and how focused they are on destroying their enemy--these days the left in their own country. If all POC simply went "poof," that'd startle them a little, but the bigots among them who needed another target would just shift their enmity to something else and keep shooting.

Maybe sushi eaters. Turns out my unfortunate daughter's sister-in-law, who is about as viciously strong a social con as possible, regards anyone who eats raw fish with real hostility and contempt (family not excluded). Same for those in dozens of other groups she sees as "others," of course.

are a clear and present danger to humanity.

Our one and only planet is changing... changing in ways that are incompatible with a large number of species of life... one of which is human. And humans, all of us, are responsible for this change.

However, some of us are aware of this and want to see rapid actions to preserve the present state of the planet... and reverse the damage that has been done.

And then there are the republicans and Trump voters who could care less, even if it condemns their grandchildren and great grandchildren to walk on a planet that is less beautiful, less hospitable, and in danger of killing those grandchildren (no matter how rich they are).

These people are my mortal enemy. The mortal enemy of my family.

That their leaders have risen to power through treason, deceit, and quirks of our constitution is appalling and criminal.

I only hope that we are strong enough to remove their leaders and put them in jail... and any who still support them. And we do it in time to prevent the ending of humanity.

Does this sound alarmist and radical... yes... but we tried reasoned debate, we tried to get them to listen to science, to be data driven in their decision making, to look out for humanity. And they have shown themselves to be intentionally ignorant and willfully criminal in voting into power the evil that is now in Washington D.C.

We can debate the other things... military spending, health care, taxes and economics. We can't debate climate change or the environment.

We must seriously consider idea that conservatives *welcomed* Russian dirty tricks,
to "save" America from becoming a multiracial democracy.

Strike "multiracial" and substitute "multi-gender" or "gender-neutral" or "equally gendered". The US already had a black President, elected twice.

We must seriously consider the idea that conservatives welcomed Russian dirty tricks to "save" America from becoming an equally gendered democracy.

Unlike Canada where Prime Minister Trudeau announced a gender-balanced cabinet with the statement "Because it's 2016" ...

Because in America it's 1956, the not-so hidden meaning of "Make American Great again".

Trump can't finance his ventures conventionally because of all his bankruptcies. Western banks want nothing to do with him. So where is his financing coming from? Many speculate that Putin is the world's wealthiest individual, worth over 200 billion. If Trump is in debt to the KGB boy, that would totally explain this entire episode.

I had not thought about all of this dRumpf BS and his Alt Right supporters being the reason.

I believe in diversity. However, I can see where a lot of citizens might think otherwise.

Is it possible that many of our elected representatives are afraid of diversity? That helps to see voter suppression by gerrymandering and the current peoples representatives who can't take town halls. Furthermore, they can't take change thru diversity. Maybe this is why many of the GOP representatives are afraid to meet and change.

I am a loyal citizen, in opposition to pRezident dRumpf and any GOP lemming.

As a thought, in this past election, there were states who voted in the electoral college majority for dRumpf. There were states who voted in the majority of Hillary. A majority of citizens voted for Hillary and, to me, those states in the majority of those states that voted for Hillary represent all of the Hillary voters that lost their vote due to the electoral college.

The electoral college is the equivalent to gerrymandering.
