Tweet#2 - "a good lawyer"

“I’d bet a good lawyer could make a great case out of the fact that President Obama was tapping my phones in October, just prior to Election!”

So his mentor and attack dog Roy Cohn is long gone but he doesn't know any "good lawyer"'s?
Has he heard of the Department of Justice? I'll BET there are some pretty good lawyers there.
What does this say about his Attorney General? Damn he just pooped on Jeff Session's shoes.

What Trump needs is a better CPA, no? I would have fired mine if it took them this long to defend me in an audit. LOL

I know, off topic - but can not believe no one at IRS has leaked info on audit. They must take confidentiality super seriously.

5. Aha! Trump gave money to O'Keefe and HE has a history of trying to tap phones

or at least for getting caught at it.

The IRS is so horrifically understaffed and technologically in the dark ages that this could explain why no leak.

Trump's returns likely handled by the "Wealth Squad"
I

n a Wealth Squad examination, the IRS deploys a team of highly capable, experienced examination specialists which include technical advisers to provide industry or issue specialized tax expertise, flow-through entity specialists, international examiners, economists to identify economic trends within returns, valuation experts and others. The Wealth Squad routinely draws on additional examination resources from throughout the IRS organization. The IRS recently even engaged a private law firm for assistance during a corporate examination.

The Wealth Squad pursues a comprehensive approach to auditing high-income taxpayers by expanding the examinations beyond the individual income tax return to include examinations of related and controlled entities. A typical Wealth Squad examination consists of a key case, generally the taxpayer’s Form 1040, and returns of related entities. These entities may include partnerships, trusts, S corporations, C corporations, private foundations, etc. Due to the complexity of most high-income taxpayers’ returns, it generally takes more time and resources than a traditional individual audit. Complex, detailed examinations of wealthy taxpayers are not easily concluded; neither the taxpayer nor the IRS examination teams have any desire to unnecessarily prolong the audit process. However, experienced IRS examination teams conducting Wealth Squad audits rarely conclude an examination until they are satisfied with the proposed resolution.

8. What that phrase really reveals ...
Sat Mar 4, 2017, 12:00 PM
Mar 2017

... is that indeed, Trump has zero evidence of any wire taps.

Trump has swallowed the Mark Levine conspiracy delusion.

"... a good lawyer ..." meaning someone else needs to prove this accusation.

But the motivator for today's paranoid tweets is distraction -- Trump has got to do something, anything to get the focus off his connection with Putin.

12. Two envelopes
Sat Mar 4, 2017, 12:22 PM
Mar 2017

I heard this story in the Michael Douglas movie "Traffic".

An out going Leader gives advice to his successor. I've left two envelopes in the desk, when you have your first scandal open the first envelope and then when you have your second scandal open the second.

First scandal occurs and the new leader opens the first envelope. It reads "blame me".
Second scandal occurs and the new leader opens the second envelope. It reads "prepare two envelopes"

11. OR, in an odd turn, someone who fairly recently has tried to tap phones....James O'Keefe

The Trump foundation did give Project Veritas $10,000 at one point.

It may seem like a stretch but sooner or later O'Keefe is bound to actually do something right.

13. Or perhaps...
Sat Mar 4, 2017, 12:34 PM

O'Keefe has been pressured by either prison time or $$ to rat someone out.

Or... because the dossier actually reached sane minds back in August or July (whenever it was handed off) and most likely after the hacking of DNC... there was reasonable suspicion to look into the possible hacking of an election. President Obama is a cool cucumber in not giving away his next move in a game of strategy. He's smarter than most of us, I think he made it possible for us to clean house if we take the initiative by gathering the evidence that will lead us to victory. That's my only hope at this point and I hope I'm correct.

or some/all of the above?

When I see that narcissistic jerk come out with this type of malarkey I know it's probably at 'least' one of the above.

ETA... Apparently he's ignoring that there was a legit warrant to do so. He probably thinks playing dumb will rile up his ignorant suckers... umm.. base... more. He's probably right on that much.
