The whole accusation was childish. It is now nearly a full working day from the tweet and NO ONE has any explanation for this. In fact, even his own administration's officials are saying flat out they have no clue.
Forget that it is evidence of his being unhinged. This is the lowest low point that diminishes even further the American presidency.
"Embarrassment" doesn't even begin to describe how this looks to the country and the world.

(2,559 posts)This is probably a heads up that the Trump admin is planning to wire tap any and all people who oppose, mock, criticize, make light night TV jokes about, Himself.
First up will be Alec Baldwin. Add in Steven Colbert, the entire cast of SNL, anybody who is a registered Democrat, etc...
What was it that people used to reassure themselves with after WWII?
"It Can't Happen Here"...
Just you wait and see...
Did I say this is a heads up that Trump is planning to wiretap any and all?
More than likely it's an indication that he's already doing it, bigly.
And it would be so easy. The Feds already collect all those conversations. They just don't provide the contents to higher ups like Trump. It would be as easy as flicking a light switch to provide that data on selected individuals at will... and Trump, true to form, will resort to just about anything to preserve his imperial self-image.

(24,393 posts)he has no sense of what is important in this world and in our lives.
To him, being president or being gross on the Howard Stern show are the same thing. Both are just as important to tRump. Nothing in life is more important and nothing is less important. All that matters is whether tRump feels stroked in the moment.
