Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI heard that Trump was hosting a political fundraiser at Mar a Lago tonight.
I heard it either last night or this morning on TV. I just did a Google search regarding it and couldn't find anything. The reason I was looking for it is because, he also had a political fundraiser there last weekend, and if he's using these weekend junkets to fundraise for himself and the GOP than he should be paying for the $3 Million transportation costs it takes to go there, out of his fundraising.
Also, as many here may recall during the campaign, he had a habit of making money off of his fundraisings through his many companies. My guess would be that he's still doing this and billing his campaign for the cost of using Mar a Lago. He also had a fund raiser there on Feb 17, 2017 for what was billed as the Red Cross Ball, of which he and Melania attended.
The man will be the first to make a killing off of the presidency while still in the WH. The fact that I didn't find tonight's fundraiser in my search probably means that no one gives a damn that the man is using his office to make money barely 2 months into the office.
If anyone heard about tonight's fundraising dinner or can provide a link regarding it, I'd appreciate hearing from you.
Thanks,

(28,394 posts)Trump was scheduled to be in West Palm Beach at 4 p.m. and to speak at the Republican National Committee spring retreat at the Four Seasons Resort. His speech was not open to the media. The White House has not released Trumps schedule for the remainder of the weekend.

Also...he is meeting with cabinet members tonight.... probably to justify going there by conducting some actual government business:
Sessions will attend the dinner along with Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly, White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon, White House counsel Don McGahn and senior advisor Stephen Miller, according to the White House.
Sessions and Kelly will meet with Trump prior to the dinner.
