Spicer, minutes ago: Trump asking Congressional intel committees to investigate President Obama

Four tweets, minutes ago:

(1/4) Reports concerning potentially politically motivated investigations immediately ahead of the 2016 election are very troubling.

(2/4) President Trump is requesting that as part of their investigation into Russian activity, the congressional intelligence committees

(3/4) exercise their oversight authority to determine whether executive branch investigative powers were abused in 2016.

(4/4) Neither the White House nor the President will comment further until such oversight is conducted.

1) attempt to knock down the polling of Obama as far higher than 45s;

2) attempt to "strike back" (a Trump classic) with no understanding (he has had 24 hours to figure it out) what would be called into question - about himself/his campaign per FISA documents.

I predict that if it proceeds forward with an eager Congress who was so ready to go after Hilary that it will easily harness that energy to go after Obama, that info will leak from Congress to the WH to back out as info looks bad, or it will be dropped before it gets to that point.

I hope that it goes forward because this is a leaky admin and what gets leaked to the WH (from Congress) will get leaked to the press - and then some.

Of course this admin would pursue yet another self-inflicted wound.

I have seen the proverbial death by a thousand cuts. I have never before seen where so many of the cuts are self-inflicted.

81. The Big Lie
Sun Mar 5, 2017, 12:23 PM

We have seen this time and again. The GOP is a master at it. Other masters are Hitler, Goebells and Stalin.

It's "The Big Lie." Make a claim that is so outrageous that people will assume that it cannot be a lie, and so accept it as truth.

Strongly assert the lie -- repeat the lie time and again -- all your people repeat the lie -- if you control any media outlets, make certain they repeat the lie -- send your minions out to the talk shows to repeat the lie. Massage available data to 'prove' the lie as being true. Reframe vigorous denial as proof of guilt.

82. Oh, I hope they're stupid enough to request a complete investigation

Because if Trump was wiretapped, it would only have been because there was a boatload of evidence already for his collusion with the Russians, and it would ALL be made public as part of the investigation they're calling for, whereas now, the proceedings of the FISA court are still secret.

Oh please...please..be that stupid.

If there was a wiretapp...and their may be...it was because a FISA court thought Trump ET AL were engaged in criminal activities...IE selling out the election/country to the Russians for dollars and because of blackmail of the groper in chief. The entire GOP party is covering for him...don't forget they could release his taxes ten minutes from now if they wanted to.

This reminds me of a school yard fight where five kids picked a fight with one student. The victim took on all 5 and won. No martial arts training, multiple witnesses saw what happened, teachers witnessed what happened. In spite parents demanded this student be suspended longer than their children.

Turning the tables by making an unfounded allegation with absolutely no evidence, then holding it to be the gospel truth until someone disapproves the fabrication. So red meat conspiracy theory = perceived fact = outrage. In the alternative universe of Birtherism, eternal IRS audits, and 3 million illegal votes for Hillary, this deflection attempt comes as no surprise.

95. The Executive Branch POS orders the Legislative Branch to investigate???????
Sun Mar 5, 2017, 02:58 PM

Does no one in the administration understand our government? POS can order investigation by Justice Department, DHS, appoint special prosecutor, etc. but cannot order the Legislative or Judicial Branch. Oh wait, the patsies in leadership probably will take marching orders from the dictator.

This is treason and I want all to go down with Trump.

You don't stand your ground in a burning building.

Fuck you and your cowardly boss.

I'm so mad, I'm taking it to social media with some serious demands and people better heed my words! (LMAO)

Strains of Tom Petty come to mind.

I'm gonna free fall out into nothin'
Gonna leave this world for awhile

And I'm free, free fallin'
Yeah I'm free, free fallin'

The splat should be pretty spectacular to witness.
