Actually, the media needs to ask Is there evidence of these wild claims? If not, they need to put up or shut up. These wild accusations need to be called out for what they are.

The difference between what they are doing and with the wire taps is that one is all hot air, accusations attempting to deflect and do damage control on a battered administration full of lies and suspicious activities with our adversary.

The other is a legal process of investigation. I am sure they don't want anyone standing up and screaming anything that might obstruct the ongoing investigative process.

There IS a reason why trump people are scrambling and putting up these asinine accusations. We don't have to scratch every itch and we certainly don't need to accept every invitation to engage in bullshit distraction.

Evidence and facts. Evidence and facts. The focus needs to remain on trump and putin. Eye on the prize.

The voter registration data bases were hacked. Saying "electoral systems" makes it easy for you to pretend they changed vote totals or did something to the tabulators.

But there is no evidence of this.

Obama and Clinton BOTH said it didn't happen.

The facts matter. Making shit up just because it makes you feel good is still essentially lying.

The calls from Democrats have been to conduct an independent investigation of current administration's ties with Russia. There were already investigations on-going by ALL of the intelligence agencies during the election season related to the hacking of the DNC and that lead to discovery of other instances of Drumpf campaign staffers interacting with Russia.

No one need "tap" Drumpf's phone to discover if anything unsavory was going on between him (or his staff) and Russia. You just tap the Russians and find out who they are talking to.

The claim that a FISA warrant to wiretap the 2 Russian banks was issued in October was first made by Mensch in November, and the BBC repeated it in January before Trump became president. He's only bringing it up now as a defensive diversion.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) didn’t mince words on CNN Sunday morning, calling President Donald Trump a liar for accusing former President Barack Obama of tapping the phones in Trump Tower.

Appearing on State of the Union, Pelosi was asked by host Jake Tapper, “Do you have any idea what he is talking about” in regard to about Trump’s tweets.

“The president is the deflector in chief, anything to change the subject from where the heat is,” Pelosi began. “And as and someone who has been engaged in intelligence and the member of the Gang of Eight for a long time, I can tell you that it’s just ridiculous for the president — or President Trump to say that President Obama would ever order any wiretap of an American citizen, any president. That’s just not — we don’t do that.”

“It’s called a ‘wrap-up smear,'” she continued. “You make up something then you have the press write about it, then you say ‘everybody is writing about it.’ It’s a charge. It’s a tool of an authoritarian, to just have them talking about what you want them to be talking about. Rather than Russia, we’re talking about President Obama. And then to take it to the Congress and say, ‘Now you investigate this,’ when he’s in favor of Congress of investigating anything but what do the Russians have on Donald Trump, politically, financially or personally.”
