There's a proper way for fascist/authoritarian regimes to roll out a Big Lie. In the US, it starts when some GOP talking head----usually George Will--is given the script. He feeds the Big Lie to the faithful who begin spreading it around to the less faithful and finally to the I-don't-usually-give-a-shit-about-politics-but-you-can-have-my-vote-if-it's-not-raining-on-election-day base. And only after the story has saturated the press and the Internet and toilet stall walls does the would be authoritarian dictator address it. As in "I am calling this press conference to address reports that blank did blank to blank on blank. If true, this is a threat to our democracy, and therefore I call upon blank to blank the blank out of blank."

Trump tried to launch his own Big Lie on Twitter. He said Obama wiretapped Trump Tower. And then, he tried to respond to his own Big Lie. As in "What's this I hear about Obama wiretapping Trump Tower?!" All within the space of 24 hours. And so he gets a big fat F for Fucked Up Again.

Dude, that just is not how the Big Lie is done. It takes patience---something you don't possess. And skill. Ditto. And half a brain. Double ditto. You know what you need? Someone to save you from yourself. Someone to do for you what Nancy Reagan (who despised you, by the way. Her final words were "Do not vote for Donald Trump for president&quot did for Ronnie.
