The TSA pat downs as described that start tomorrow equate to molestation

If an adult did this (as described) to an unwilling adult or any child, they would be arrested and charged. As a frequent flier I've had plenty of pat downs. I think my wardrobe going through the TSA will be, shall we say very minimal in the event I get pulled aside, my top layer can come right off.

I'll change into more appropriate clothing for my long haul flights when I get through security. I don't give a shit. If I can wear it on the beach I can wear it in the airport.

They've updated the website already

I have not seen what they plan on doing to us. Just as long as they do not want to put their fingers up our butts and for women our vaginas. My blind friends guide dog had an anal probe years ago but then people are very rude to blind people.

When a blind person walks into a store or restaurant the employees either all run away or you can hear them fighting on who has to help the blind person ( yes, they actually argue ) As far as everybody is concerned not only are they blind they are deaf and shout. they think they are stupid and incapable of taking care of themselves and actually indicate it in some way. When in a restaurant they actually try to shove you in the most unnoticeable place whether they have a guide dog or not. They ask whoever is with them what they want. At a bank a couple of times they actually asked me about my Friend's account...I have no flippin clue..not my money or account. I am in no way saying you do not have problems. My disability is a very hard one because you can not tell from looking at me or talking to me for a little while that I am so I have people treating me like I am stealing from the government and them. I tell them "You try getting slammed into a car while on a moped and see how well you come out along with the fetal alcohol syndrome and ADHD and a few other disabilities you were born with which got worse from the hit on the head." All disabilities have their problems with society. What do you deal with?

They have always gone from the head, neck shoulders spine, top of the butt, down the legs and brushing the breasts and groin, well now that will be more invasive, going down the butt as well with enough pressure they can make sure they feel anything.

Where I go, I can't drive, so that's not an option.

This is apparently in response to the TSA's failure rate of I believe it was 92% 2 years ago. Of course the obvious point, is that it wasn't weapons on people they missed, it was in carry on's, but in response this is their solution.

is that they could use dogs which are less intrusive and by the way very very rarely miss anything. Dogs can be trained to detect anything and each dog can be trained to find several things. Dogs have proven to find more than these pat downs. I did the math once and including EVERYTHING from birth to death they could have 5 dogs that cost the amount of those stupid machines that shows your body like it is naked and dogs still catch more. I think they just enjoy making us feel intruded.

from it. You want a pat down? My jacket and wrap around skirt or sarong comes off. No problem. There's nothing they can do. If I can wear it on a beach, I sure as hell can wear it in an airport. I have no body issues, so I don't actually give a damn.

To strip down naked you could be arrested, in fact they have tried in the past to detain those who stripped down to a bikini but obviously it didn't stand up, 2 pat downs ago I swore to god I'd go this route but didn't, last go round I didn't have the same aggressiveness, but now? Freaking forget it, I'll assume it will be like 2 pat downs ago.

I swear to gawd, I had a pat down on a domestic flight that was about as "personal" as it could get. I actually told the screener that my boobs hadn't been squeezed like that since my last mammogram. She was not amused. If that ever happens again I think I'll make honking noises or fart as somebody else suggested. I like the mental image of us all suffering together during that screening. Along that same thought process, when I have to remove my shoes I make it a point to ask who they pissed off to get stuck on shoe duty. That usually is met with a similar lack of enthusiasm.

They made my 19 year old take her ponytail out too. When she asked them why, they said she might have a weapon hidden in her hair. Other than a garrote, I'm not sure what would fit--but hey--they are the experts--right? At least they spared her the hard core grope, but I'm dead serious when I say I think her greek letters on her t-shirt made her less of a "suspect." Maybe nest time I'll wear my Sorority mom t-shirt rather than a tie dye. Do ya suppose that'd help any?

comments.... I'm not sure the sorority t-shirt will help. Just wear something completely non existent under a jacket, take the jacket off if you have to. My daughter thankfully has never been pulled out thank god, if this happened to her she'd literally freak out (also 19). She flies in Australia, (the South Pacific and Asia on Holiday's), she never has a problem. If she comes back, dear god I can't imagine this happening to her. She'd probably be in therapy.

Best make the time huh? Damn... that's like 3 hours out of the day to get there, interview and get back. I think the regular cost was 85.00 or something like that, I don't remember, but even so, American's who don't have it shouldn't have to go through this. I'll look into making an appointment.

and cannot go through the machines, Pat downs. What will he have to go through now? I have an Enhanced DL and go on Security Lines with Flight Crew. No pat downs, taking off coats or shoes, lap top out of bags. You cannot imagine how fast this special security line is, including at airports like JFK.

Get a US Passport even for Domestic Flights, if you can afford one. We are now in a Papers, Citizen, society.
