inadvertently if there was Fisa wiretaps targeting Russian operatives where Americans were not the target, they would get swept up in the wiretap investigation if they are caught talking to the foreign agent-- that is whole point of those wiretaps- to find out if US govt officials and others are communicating and making deals with foreign operatives

So bottom line, Trump and Associates could be on tape talking to Russian operatives, not because the Americans were the focus of the FISA wiretaps, but if they were talking to the Russian operatives who were the targets of FISA and of course the existence of those wiretaps cannot be released as that would be classified info.
