Malice, in defamation, essentially means he knew it was false and published it anyway.

Which also is a problem because his ability to distinguish between true and false is not necessarily easily established.

that was soooo sweet.

IIRC the right wing was attacking the media over that moment, as not sitting back and let a false statement pass constitutes liberal bias...

These pricks need to be taught that they cannot lie with impunity. And ruining a few of them financially would throw cold-water on the whole "fake-news" industry.

But peope told me I was wrong. I've started numerous threads about, wishing somebody would shout it out loud on TeeVee. "Donald Trump lied and committed Libel".

But no I kept getting shot down.

tRump is always libeling Obama.

If the Original Post is going to have content it would say what the libel consisted of and what was the context. Was it an interview, a live press conference, a phone in, a file clip from October, ... What? Nothing.

We don't Obama to say a word about it.

Just our talking heads and then echoed by our Politicians.

The narrative to this whole sordid episode should be written by us and should be "Donald Trump lied, and essentially Libelled Barack Obama".

Is that not easily achievable with a little team work??

Obama spent eight years as President and knows exactly how the government works, which apparently Trump does not. Obama will say little and allow the wheels of the IC and and an independent prosecutor to grind President Cheeto into dust.

Did not get the name of the legal scholar but he laid it out very plain and clear. Obama could sue Trump and likely win.
Not sure if they archive the shows but it must be somewhere.
