We need to go harder and stick to ONE message

We're six weeks into this BS and his supporters are simply not getting it.
The Republicans in power don't care because they're pushing their agenda through.
F that.

Rallies need to be held every weekend across the country with puppets, Russian flags and release your taxes signs. the message needs to be cohesive and only about one thing.

There should be a five-point plan and we should stick to those five things- and only those 5 things- in every rally, every meeting, every town hall, every call to the media- every talking head and every Democratic leader needs to do the same thing.

To save this country we need to go straight to the belly of the beast and STAY THERE. He can be defeated if we focus.

1. Release the tax returns immediately. Period.
2. Launch a formal bi-partsan investigation (not unlike the 9/11 commission) into his Russian ties
3. Sessions needs to go for lying about Russia
4. A formal investigation of Russian hacking needs to be launched
5. Anyone who met secretly with the Russian ambassador (Kushner is on the list) needs to go

We need to stick to Russia because its how we WIN.

The ban is awful and we MUST fight it, obviously, but I genuinely think his weakest point is Russia. It's the ONE thing we have that the dumbass Republicans might actually get behind. They want the Muslim ban. They want the EPA weakened. They want LGBTQ rights fucked with. They want Womens Rights to be eradicated. But there's still a chance that they DON'T want Vladimir Putin to be their leader. Fight on one message. Go hard. Force the message- just like they did with us when Bush wanted to go to Iraq.

If we all stay on that one track, we will get traction. Right now he's pulling us in too many directions and we're trying to fight off too many things- and that makes his supporters gleeful. It also makes it easier for Fox News and Breitbart to post distractions and bullshit.

So much of this could be nipped in the bud NOW if he would just release his taxes. Either way, one side or the other would be proven right. And if, as we all suspect, he got a shitload of money from Russia- that's going to make it SO easy to turn a lot of his supporters against him.

We prove he's in bed with the Russians and we win. All the BS he's done with the ban, the LGBTQ community. the EPA and that stupid ass wall can be taken down with ease.

Every single time he Tweets some new shit, we need to reply en masse with one message. Release your taxes #PutinsPuppet
He'd lose his ever loving mind within 2 weeks.

It's this one thing that will bring this whole house of cards down.

it makes it easier for them to ignore us. Because they're hateful, racist, bigoted SWINE whose heads are full of Fox/Breitbart shit. We can deal with them later. First, we need to deal with HIM. He's the one with the power right now, whether we like it or not. That can all go away if we get on one message and focus like lasers on attacking his achilles heel.

Russia.

They are very attentive to us and may push your message out.

One thing I caution - is giving individual districts room to hit their Reps where it hurts.

Those five are "one" for us.
ACA
No to the pipeline

We have three that we hammer our Congressman with over and over again. When I call for my daily call, I always add onto it one of your Russia points.

When the national media picked up our Town Hall two weeks ago - they played the same clip of a citizen asking for the tax returns.

The Congressman won his seat in a district that went for Clinton.

We can attest for him - That Guy has no mandate from us.

At the local level it makes sense to use the things that are important there in addition to Russia.

Nationally we need to strike on this one thing over and over. We can clearly see it gets results and makes him frantic in a way the women's march and our protests against the Muslim ban don't. He has solidarity with his supporters on that stuff- not so much with Russia. This is how we open the dialogue and step into the space they don't like.

He's frantic and unglued for a reason. We need to ride that wave all the way to impeachment

Not a member of the indivisible group - I will check and see if there is one in my area.

We have a lot of ACA, environmental, VRA, and Women's Rights (all that implies), and immigration activists -

I'm keyed into the Russian Invasion (as we call in our borough group - part of larger groups) but I need help.

If you can create a task force on this in your area - it will keep the pressure on!

Those issues are his downfall. Those are in my opinion the most egregious in that one is traitorous and one is monstrous and will lead to the sickness, death and impoverishment of millions of Americans who depend on ACA

There is Trump, and there is the Republican agenda. The only reason the national Republican Party got in bed with Trump is to pass the Republican agenda. It preexists Trump. it will long outlast him.

Historically the public hates Congress as a whole but tends to feel much warmer about their own representatives. They need to be pinned down for their support of unpopular policies. In different regions different issues burn hotter than they do on average nationally. In some areas people care a lot about the environment in general - but in areas where there are serious problems with super dump level toxic polluters that interest can turn white hot. So gutting the EPA can be a potent local issue in some districts. The same for the harassment of green card holders, let alone undocumented immigrants, who long have been residents fully integrated into some local communities and the economy.

The across the board assault on all forms of government assistance and benefits will fall hard on many constituencies and communities. THAT is why there was so much national coverage of "local" Town Hall Meetings during the last congressional break. It began the process of exposing he true interests of Republicans in Congress ahead of the next national election in 2018. Right now Republicans are busy at work framing the delinking of Federal Medicaid fiscal support from benchmark levels of actual need. This is being peddled as good government "reform" - returning the control of tax payer dollars back to the state level where theoretically politicians are more in touch with local priorities. In reality though it it is simply voucherizing Medicaid; capping the amount the feds will spend on it regardless of growing needs. That is far removed from Russia but it will effect millions of lives and it is being debated now. The case against it needs to be made now for two reason; 1) with enough resistance we may be able to soften the blow somewhat on millions of lives, and 2) it lays the groundwork for taking back the House in 2018 by making Republicans in Congress now visibly accountable for their actions while informing their constituents of exactly how they are being sold out and who will suffer because of it.
