Bannon's nauseatingly unctuous propaganda framework to control Trump via flattery + paranoia

The latest evidence comes via Bannon's Breitbart. And although I know Bannon is supposedly taking a leave of absence from Breitbart, there's no real evidence that he no longer controls the site and its alt-riight propaganda.

It's been reported by a number of WH correspondents for real (MSM) news organizations that Bannon has been talking to Trump about the so-called "Deep State" being out to get him.

Not surprisingly, that's now become the focus at Breitbart, which has started the headlines for two lead articles in recent days with DeepStateGate in red to highlight it.

One of the most sickening examples was posted yesterday:

DeepStateGate: Trump Ends the Wiretapping Innuendo Game by Dealing Himself In

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/03/05/trump-ends-innuendo-game-dealing/

Reportedly, WH aides were NOT expecting Trump's crazy tweet storm on Saturday morning, which was apparently set off after he read an earlier Breitbart article that was reportedly being widely circulated among the staff. I think we can safely assume Bannon was behind that..

And although Bannon might not have wanted the exact results he got, with Trump's crazy allegations and the immediate pushback, he's using Breitbart to try to spin Trump's demented tweets so that they appear to be sheer genius.

You can start with that idiotic headline: "Trump Ends the Wiretapping Innuendo Game by Dealing Himself In."

Not only is that wrong, but it couldn't be more wrong. Trump just brought more attention to the same news stories he's been infuriated by.

The topsy-turvy perspective and sickening flattery continues in the first paragraph:

"The White House statement on “DeepStateGate” — President Donald Trump’s allegations that former President Barack Obama ordered surveillance on him during his 2016 presidential campaign — has the feel of cards and chips thumping down on the table"

Bannon apparently feels that the gambling imagery will appeal to former casino owner Trump.

A couple of paragraphs down the article's author writes: "It’s possible one reason Trump issued his explosive tweets on surveillance was to make everyone put up or shut up."

There Bannon and his online Pravda appear to be hedging their own bets slightly, since even Bannon can't be sure in advance what Trump might say about why he tweeted those messages. And Bannon might worry that Trump might react negatively if the Breitbart writer claimed to know exactly what Trump had in mind.

But Bannon clearly would like Trump to accept the article's highly flattering explanation.

And having this framework to guide Trump published in Breitbart is one way to make sure it gets the boss's attention.

Just like the long closed-door talks that Bannon reportedly has with Trump (reported in the Washington Post last night), in a White House that has been claiming that Trump has an open-door policy where his aides can walk in at any time.

Breitbart is just another way for Bannon to guide Trump, while at the same time getting the propaganda line and talking points out to Trump's base and political allies.
