7. I've read the order now.

It doesn't take effect until March 16, which will allow review by the federal district courts if requests for injunctions are made right away.

It does cover some of the issues that were objected to in the original order, and exempts a number of classes of people that should have been exempted in the original order. It also restores the travel documents of some that were cancelled or voided in the confusion of the first order.

Iraq is treated separately in this new order, with restrictions and other language that is specific to that country.

I'm not an astute enough legal mind to say whether this one will survive well-prepared injunction requests. So, I won't try.
