By The Time GOP Is Done Only 30% Nation Will Have Health Care.

I really do think GOP plans will destroy health care for 70% of the country. Premiums will soar for workers who have health care now. Even if you keep the popular parts of the ACA premiums will be through the roof. I believe when you add up what they are doing the subsidies will pay only a 25% of the premiums. And insurance companies will have to have very high premiums to stay profitable and copays will probably be even worse than they are now.

I believe things will be much much worse once it is all said and done. Most Americans do not know how linked programs are. The ACA was designed to cover as many health care gaps as possible without having universal care.

What I am saying sounds hyperbolic but you have to think through what the GOP wants. They also want to have vouchers for Medicare. And those vouchers won't nearly cover seniors. There really won't be insurance for seniors. AND REMEMBER the GOP plans to voucherize veterans care and privatizing the VA.

Trump supporters will not feel the bite until 2021 and health insurance companies may wait until then to unleash large increases. This is a great deal for them.

The sneaky Ryan angle here is to lead into destroying Medicare as well.

One reason Dems keep having such a hard time reaching "the people" with their message is they keep trying to re-frame the message using the Repubs terminology. No. The Repubs are very good at picking terms and phrases that hide intentions while making it sound all unicorns and rainbows. Call them what they are... coupons. Make it sound like those pieces of paper you cut out of the back of a magazine for $1.00 off a bag of cheesy-poofs. That's what they are, after all.

Take back the narrative.
