(81,192 posts)Also, if trends continue, and the midterm curse holds - the party in power usually gets kinda lazy and complacent around the midterm elections, and the opposition grows a lot more motivated, so things often flip to the opposing party. So even if this candidate can't unseat little Jason, then the next-best thing can happen: enough Dems get in, elsewhere, that WE take back the House of Reps, and Jason loses his committee chairmanship.
Either way we win. Also, it's good to force the bad guys to have to spend money in places where they never had to, once-upon-a-time. In seats they never had to defend - until now.

She sounds like a great candidate even if Chaffetz didnt need to be kicked to the floor.
