Trumpy mentioned Wikileaks several times because he thought that he could. He could mention one of his connections on the record, and do so because of his supreme arrogance.

He's not just a con artist, but a high stakes con artist. He posed as a supremely confident "businessman", so powerful that he can change the world with the flick of his finger.

Now we can see his "paper trail." Now we can understand what his arrogance brought him. He's playing the con right to the brink of the abyss, and he's dancing on the edge, unmoved by the potential immediacy of his own demise. He's still pushing the limits of his own definitions. With each small expansion, he renews his faith in himself, that he is, indeed, deserving of his own importance. He's fully dependent on the fears of others, however. He fully depends on the fact that, if he bullies and threatens enough, his opposition will back down. So far, he's been right, but the stakes are getting higher by the day, and he may have played his best hand.

Now, it appears as if he's lost control of his circumstances, and he's getting anxious and frightened. He lost his guardian, Sessions. He lost his advisor, Flynn. He can't call Comey. He knows that Pence the Undertaker is ready for another funeral. He wishes he could get Spicer to dress up as the Easter Bunny, just for comic relief. Spicer has experience-- the one thing he's good at.

Keep talking, Trumpy. You'll make your momma proud.
