Deplorables voted to cut their own throats. I'm (almost) at the point I don't feel sorry for them.

"I have become what I behold and am convinced I have done right."

"To the victor belong the spoils," candidate Donald Trump reminded 2016 voters. But the House Republican health bill turns that old maxim on its head.

Instead of broadly rewarding Trump's backers, the House bill hands huge benefits to the tiny share of his voters earning the highest incomes. Their gains come at the expense of the much larger group of older, blue-collar whites who flocked to his "Make America Great Again" banner.

...

But in some key states that backed Trump, whites comprise a large majority of nonelderly Medicaid beneficiaries: 65 percent in Ohio, 60 percent in Wisconsin, 60 percent in Michigan. Those proportions are as high or higher in smaller Trump states such as West Virginia (89 percent), Montana (83 percent), Kentucky (77 percent) and Arkansas (62 percent).

The House GOP's reductions would affect all Medicaid beneficiaries, not just those added to the rolls under Obamacare. That includes more than 6 million senior citizens with incomes and assets low enough to qualify for the program.

Medicaid finances most nursing home care in the United States. Unlike the program's nonelderly beneficiaries, a 54 percent majority of beneficiaries aged 65 or older are white, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation.

They want to fuck themselves with their stupid, willfully ignorant, whiny, victimized voting, fine.

They want to fuck everyone in America with their stupid, willfully ignorant, whiny, victimized voting, they can go to hell and find their healthcare there.

Way past done with Trump voters.

Pain, suffering and misery are possibly the only things that will open their eyes to how horrible Republican policies are for the typical American.

but still have to suffer through this shit. Millions will die without the ACA. My mom died due to lack of health insurance. I wish she had hung on until ACA kicked in. This breaks my heart. I've coasted along on anti-depressants through all of this election bullshit, but there are not enough anti-anxiety and anti-depressants to get me through watching innocent people being kicked off of the rolls.

They are puling the rest of the nation down with them with their ill conceived notions of self interest. That is why our own self interest aligns with enough of them finally getting a clue, so that we can restore Democratic Control of government ASAP.

There will be heart-breaking stories aplenty in their families, too. I'm still trying to see them more as fellow victims than as the enemy.

But they bear responsibility for what happens.

Those are powerful motivators in the here and now, while the possible loss of health insurance isn't quite real yet.

.. because almost to a tee, they would vote the same way again.

They are truly insane.

They would rather die than help Black people or live in the presidency
of a woman, a Black person, or a party that helps Black people.

They might have regret that 45 will hurt them, but he's a white male,
so they would rather have that than a better president who would
do them some real good.
