"She flies in her hairdresser from Beverly Hills. He's responsible for her color."

Melania Trump is preparing herself to move to Washington, D.C. where she will live with President Donald Trump in the White House, according to a new report Wednesday. The first lady has been living in New York with her son Barron as he continues attending private school in Manhattan’s upper west side neighborhood.

“She really cares about entertaining,” a source close to the 46-year-old said while talking about Melania's hosting of “an elegant party” for 46 governors two weeks ago, the announcement about the White House tour and her proactive involvement in the Governors Ball.

“She didn’t want people talking business,” sources told Daily News. “She had a theme for the Governors dinner — ‘Spring Renewal.’ And she’ll be in full bloom when she moves into the White House.”

“She flies in her hairdresser from Beverly Hills, Alen M, who also works in New York City. He's responsible for her color,” another source reportedly said. “They decided recently that she should go blonder. You can see the highlights. The process is called ‘balayage.’”

I'd be surprised if it were more than that. Chance would be a fine thing.

You have to be rather a student of British English to have that in your active vocabulary. Since I fancy the British manner of speaking, in all of its dialects, I guess I'm one of those.

BTW, I saw the hair color term first today in a FB post by the millennial daughter of some friends. She said she was having it done soon. I looked it up then.

Different parts of this country have different ethnic mixes, and the ones I grew up with didn't include many of my own Irish heritage, so I was really startled the first time I visited Boston and saw people who looked just like my parents and cousins on every street corner. I hardly know anyone descended from the peoples of the former Soviet Bloc. I only mention this to point out that she might be a common Slovenian "type," or she might have simply had too much surgery.

but the other photos of her look like a young Melania.

Melania is content to just be an ornament, even her stance on birtherism sounded like an unthinking parroting of her husband's propaganda. She only ever wanted to be a trophy wife.

She's going to be the opposite of Michelle Obama, as Trump is the opposite of Barack - meaning the Trumps are shallow, there's very little substance there. Melania just lacks dynamism and personality.

Her color progressively lightens from medium brown up around her ears to dirty blonde at the tips. The real advantage isn't that it looks "natural"...it's that grow-out isn't a problem because there's four inches of uncolored hair between the scalp and the treated hair. Naturally, no one in the National Capital Region (except, of course, all those people in the "Beauty Salons" section of the phone book) can do this so she HAS to fly a guy in from Beverly Hills to do it.

Boy, they had a never-ending stream of "outrage" stories whenever Michelle Obama did anything in the public eye, as well as a well-stocked cupboard of insulting nicknames for her. Sarah Palin wanted to make s'mores on a family camping trip because she thought it would piss off Michelle Obama, who was an advocate for better childhood nutrition (the commie!).

Will any popular media outlet dare touch this story? Magic 8 Ball says, "Not on your Nelly!"

35. Dan Savage: I f*cking hate Melania Trump
Thu Mar 9, 2017, 01:44 PM
Mar 2017

“God knows there’s enough hate in the world and I don’t want to add to the sum total, but forgive me, I have got to get this off my chest: I f*cking hate Melania Trump,” Savage said during his latest installment of his “Savage Love” podcast, the Wrap reports.

“I’m not alone in loathing Donald Trump’s third wife,” he continued. “She’s married to a misogynist after all. Odds are good her husband hates her too.”

“But there are some folks on the left who not only don’t hate her, they view her as some sort of sympathetic figure,” he said. “The pretty princess in the tower locked up by the orange ogre with the bad combover, a princess desperately blinking out distress signals during swearing-in ceremonies and inaugural balls.”

Savage argued that liberals have an “undeservedly charitable view” of the First Lady, insisting they believe physically attractive people must also be pretty on the inside.
