we have a healthcare "Industry." Profit rules all. Patient care? I think they consider that a side effect.

The parts that worked the best are not part of the free market. Medicaid expansion, outlawing pre-existing conditions, etc. The parts that are not working are part of the free market.

Until then, it's a waste of time talking about it, frankly.

Focus on the first tasks first. Right now, we'll be lucky if we don't lose everything we've gained. We lost the election in 2016, and we lost it badly. That's where we have to fight if we want single payer.

Save your energy for election activism. You're going to need it.

I get to watch them destroy the economy when trump and the republicans pass the biggest trickle down bill is history. Massive tax cuts for the rich, deregulation on a scale never seen before and the gutting of government agencies.

I should not be surprised, The american people have been voting to destroy themselves for decades. They were almost successful in 2008. Now they are trying again.

But I sure hope it's not a one way back slide and that yes eventually we can make it like most any other developed country to a healthcare system.

Why are we so different that we don't allow this as a country when almost all other developed countries do?

What does it say about our culture?
