So NASA publishes a startling finding from space scientists that there is a 5% chance that the humongous asteroid hurtling towards Earth will NOT strike us -- we can either:
(a) take our chances that it will miss us, or ...
(b) act immediately with a high probability of changing the asteroid's course.
