Those bastards never give up and MSNBC keeps giving them a microphone, a pulpit, and legitimacy
Hugh Hewitt was on the MSNBC Live with Steve Kornacki show and Hewitt was discussing his interview with Jeff Sessions earlier today on the Hugh Hewitt Radio Show in which Hewitt ENCOURAGED Sessions to appoint an Independent Counsel to investigate Obama's Justice Dept under Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch. Specifically he wanted Holder and Lynch investigated for their failure to properly investigate thoroughly and appoint special prosecutors to investigate the Obama Justice Dept. Hewitt said that the congress had called for an Independent Counsel many, many times and at a minimum special prosecutors should have been appointed to investigate the IRS and Lois Lerner, Fast and Furious (as I recall F&F was the gun running operation established under the Bush WH which Holder ended but which supposedly was responsible for the death of an Agent a year before Holder ever became AG), and Hillary's server.
Hewitt has become a regular guest on MSNBC and Kornacki doesn't challenge him on the fact that Lois Lerner was investigated to death and back as was Fast and Furious, and Hillary's server. Kornacki asks if this is a tit for tat, saying that "you have the Democrats out there calling for an independent counsel", as if the two are one and the same. The things that the Democrats are calling for a review of have never been reviewed. The things Hewitt wants Sessions to review were reviewed ad naseum and Kornacki doesn't call him out on this. I am sick of MSNBC giving rightwingers a platform to traffic in bullshit, again and again.
Jeff Sessions: Well, I'm going to do everything I possibly can to restore the independence and professionalism of the Department of Justice, so we're going to have to consider whether or not some outside counsel is needed. Generally, a good review of that internally is the first step before any such decision is made.

Sessions had to recuse himself from anything involving the Trump campaign because he LIED in his confirmation hearing aned couldn't remember that he had spoken to the Russian Ambassador twice while acting as a surrogate for the Trump Campaign once in his Senate office and now he's entertaining Hewitt's bullshit that the Obama's Justice Dept was corrupt, and Sessions says that HE wants to restore the DoJ's Independence and Professionalism. MSNBC needs to be told that they cannot continue to peddle BULLSHIT to us with a straight face. I encourage anyone who saw that program to let them hear from you.
