Does anyone else out there fear for Rachel Maddow's safety?

The reporting she's doing about Russia is groundbreaking to say the least-- Should we be concerned for her safety? After all we know Putin is a thug who goes after journalists who speak out against him.

Here is little Donnie defending Putin on ABC:

"No proof that Vladimir Putin killed reporters."

much less one of their sources. Plus, virtually everything she reports has already been reported in writing. It's "out there," and she and her staff compile it into an episode. Occasionally people pass info they've received to her before they put it in writing.

I'm a long-time admirer of Rachel and her show, but let's not imagine she meets in dark car garages with ex-Kremlin executives or spends long, dangerous hours at her computer hacking into Kim Jong Un's emails. She's a talking head who picks good material to talk about.

plane and connections to Trump ever being reported-- In fact there were several sites recently that picked up those stories and they failed to give Maddow the credit she deserved.

Rachel hasn't quite tipped the Woodward & Bernstein scales of reporting quite yet - But her daily onslaught of Russian interference and collusion has to be pissing off those in power in DC and Moscow- heck, throw Trump/Alt right supporters into the mix and you have a very unsafe world for any reporter who speaks out against the Putin and Trump administrations.

I don't put anything past the Kremlin Klan, but I do think they have to know hurting such a prominent figure won't turn out well for them if they have any semblance of common sense left. At the same time, who is to say they would do it in a way that was so obviously murder/attempted murder? They could try to make it seem like a coincidence, and the GOP would bury any chance of an investigation. Idk. I do hope she has fantastic security.

like pootie are at they don't need common sense. They can pull it off if so wanted without a hitch. Just like the mob does their corrections and then go on their merry ass ways denying any and all involvement. I'm sure in pootie's case the actual deed doer doesn't live long enough to tell any tells

She is doing an excellent job. It seems alot of our media flirt with the boundaries, but she goes full on past the line.

for MSNBC to pony up security for her.
She does break ground in this investigation and people are watching her show in record numbers.
Nefarious characters will get their underwear in a bunch over her reporting and some can get quite violent.
Yes she does need some body guards.

Her reporting is beyond brave given the Russian habit of casually offing people they want to silence.

The difference being, the prosecutor has acquired all the evidence during discovery, while Rachel is pulling in information on a daily basis from news reports.

I love the way she connects the dots and explains complex matters in a way that all of us can understand.

That's her skill. That's what makes her invaluable to the cause.

She probably knows better than anyone what might be at stake. I'm not worried. Not yet. But if she is able to uncover a source that blows the lid off for our Congress, then I think she needs to take extra steps for her security.

Her ratings have shot and she's become more influential because she's trustworthy. The type of journalist Putin kills regularly and a cause is never found. Trump would encourage it and Republicans would quietly cheer.
