Anyone else having flight problems?

My family flying in from Indiana to Ft. Lauderdale delayed for hours. No weather.
I understood that Trump was going to make these national flights easier for bonifide Amercuns. What's the problem???

The fact that the weather was good where you were doesn't mean there weren't weather problems elsewhere that caused flight delays. Maybe your family's plane was delayed getting to Indiana because of weather somewhere else, so it was unable to leave on time. Maybe there was a maintenance problem they had to fix and get signed off, or maybe they had a crew problem - a crew member timed out or was unable to make the previous flight. There are a bazillion routine reasons for flight delays; they happen all the time. If a pattern starts to develop, that would require looking into, but it probably wasn't anything nefarious. Some airlines are better than others about explaining delays.

If the TSA or whoever was doing "extreme vetting" on passengers, those passengers would probably have missed their flight, but the plane would have departed on time.

and they are flying to Fort Lauderdale, the nub of all spring breakers. My granddaughter flew in earlier (no prob) and saw a classmate of hers in the airport.

I'm just pinching trumps ass a little as he seems to think that he can fix all problems.

We experienced 20-70 mph gusts in NC today.

This happened yesterday in Michigan:

Michigan basketball's plane slides off runway, no injuries reported

WASHINGTON D.C. -- A charter plane carrying the University of Michigan men's basketball team was involved in an accident at Willow Run Airport on Wednesday afternoon. No injuries have been reported.

The plane was bound for Washington D.C., where Michigan is set to begin Big Ten Tournament play on Thursday.

A statement from Michigan basketball said the accident was due to high winds.

Per U-M: "After attempting to take off in high winds, takeoff was aborted and, after strong braking, the plane slide [sic] off runway. The plane sustained extensive damage but everyone on board was safely evacuated and is safe."

Michigan coach John Beilein told MLive that no one was injured seriously, but a few people are banged up.

"All is OK," Beilein said.

Michigan said the team is making alternate travel plans.
