Donald Trump will never have the consent of the governed. In the eyes of the majority of this country, he is not a legitimate President.
It is a mistake to pretend otherwise. Americans, as a general rule, cannot accept immoral depravity as the path forward. The immoral character of Donald Trump does not give him any credibility in the eyes of many, many Americans.
Donald Trump will never be legitimate President. He will never have the consent of the people that he is supposed to represent. The consent of the Republican Party is far from the consent of the majority.
