trump going down? Ain't gonna happen.

The gop controls the senate, house and presidency. Scandals, graft, corruption, major illegalities - no matter how devastating, obvious and harmful - the gop/trump and their idiot hordes don't care. Get it? THEY. DON'T. CARE!!! It's their dream come true and they will NEVER give it up.

Grasping at straws and hoping the next scandal fells trump is useless. He isn't going anywhere.

Fight, scratch, gouge, claw, obfuscate, deny, block, delay, demoralize, demean... In other words, use the gops tactics against them. Do any and all to register disbelief this bullshit is happening.

This is what we are doing now.

Do I believe any of the above or rallies, marches, speeches, pissed-off tv and twitter responses by democrats and liberals will get trump out of the white house?

No.

THE REPUBLICANS ARE KICKING OUR ASSES. They have all 3 branches of Government and elected a known clown President. We are not winning. we are not fighting hard enough.

As for myself I think I hate Donald Trump too much. (If thats possible) And I gnash my teeth in regards to him, his Fanboys, and Republicans in general. I get frustrated and think (and say) that we arent figyting hard enough. Thats my reaction, and sometimes my over-reaction to his clownishness. I am frlustered and frustrated that this man was elected President of the United States.

They'll be forced to impeach rather than face a full coup because the generals refuse to send troops into Mexico and the CIA can expose the corruption of individual congressmen and senators that can't escape prosecution.

It won't be congress, but the weight of the crimes piling up. The US media is pretty docile, but you can't stop foreign intelligence in this age of rapid worldwide communication. When the idiot finally comes down, they will be looking for a life raft. No things will not get better because anyone in the Republican leadership is just as bad or worse, but it could spell doom at the polls in 2018.

There is going to be a L O T of damage done by then, and if this country does not find it within itself to hit the hail mary of either getting the house against the long odds of beating the gerrymanding or the senate, beating the long odds of the extraordinarily small number of R seats up vs Ds seats up, they will see that as validation and keep pushing forward.

about Nixon and Agnew until they were ripped out of the White House by real Americans. Republicans need to see how easily the majority can turn against them. Even the 1% doesn't win all the time. All they have to do is ask Czar Nicholas.

Conservatives in power and their idiot hordes DO NOT CARE. Even if they are negatively affected, even if trump gets us into nuclear war, his supporters will not, CANNOT, see it as having to do with their choice.

Cannot because this has nothing to do with logic or morals or values (why would christians vote for a pussy grabber/disabled mocker? They wouldn't). This is a psychological issue. Rationalization, delusion, denial, selfishness, anger and fear run deep with trump voters. And any catastrophe cannot be the result of their choices... their psychosis demands it be the fault of another.

The GOP couldn't give a shit less about the country, or their fellow citizens.

They would fuck their own mothers live on TV if their constituents thought mother-fucking was a plus, and voted accordingly.

They would sell their own children into sex-slavery, and post videos of their torture on YouTube if it meant getting votes.

They would publicly worship Satan if got the Satan-worshipers to the polls to vote GOP.

But what they WON'T do is stand behind anyone who "tarnishes their brand" to the point of jeopardizing their chances of re-election - and the mid-terms are looming.

Keep in mind that Pence was their first choice - so it's not like Trump going down is a problem. It is in fact a blessing, and gets them the pResident they wanted all along. Therefore, Trump's downfall serves their purposes.

The GOP are notorious for turning on their own when politically expedient - and Trump was never "one of their own" to begin with, so there is no party loyalty he can rely on to save his skin.

While the PTB in the Democratic Party want Trump OUT, the PTB in the GOP are equally anxious to be rid of him.

Trump's "presidency" is less than two months old, and it's already mired in more scandal than any other administration has had to deal with over the course of years in office. Somehow I don't see the Republicans
risking their "brand" in order to support the guy they never wanted in the first place.

"But what they WON'T do is stand behind anyone who "tarnishes their brand" to the point of jeopardizing their chances of re-election - and the mid-terms are looming."

- is beautiful and well reasoned. But:

How does one "tarnish the brand" of a party whose constituents gleefully elected a demonstrably unstable sociopath?

There is no bridge too far. There is no ultimate outrage for the idiot hordes. They may go down in flames by their own hand (taking us with them), but they will be cursing the names Obama and Clinton.

I would also note that for all of their chest beating and bravado, they are cowardly little fucks.

He brow beat them in the primary, see EVERY single of his opponents who he shit on during their campaigns ultimately being forced to take a knee to him.

It isn't one thing, but he has effectively castigated them, he serves as someone to take the bullets, he creates so much chaos it takes the heat off of them, etc.

but they really do want to get 2 years out of him so they can decrease as many regulations and destroy as many regulatory agencies as they can, the corporatist dream. Then they'll let the Democrats who take over get rid of him so they can live on spite the way they did after Nixon got shitcanned. They really think they can hold onto the presidency for the next 10 years with whatever replaces Dolt45.

Pence has a lot of problems, so he might do an Agnew and disappear to be replaced by a more affable yes man.

Considering how thoroughly they're going to foul things up, I sincerely doubt they'll get power again for a while---unless the Democrats throw it away with both hands the way they did with Carter, fighting him tooth and nail on everything.

If the lips of Congress are firmly attached to Trump's rump and enough Trump voters turn against them, the republicans will throw away Trump and accept Pence as a reasonable replacement.
