In first month of office, Trump brought unemployment down from 25% to 4.7%.

https://mediamatters.org/research/2017/03/10/apparently-jobs-report-no-longer-massive-conspiracy/215625

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the economy created 235,000 jobs in February 2017 and the unemployment rate fell to 4.7 percent, building on a record-breaking 77-month streak of job creation dating to 2010:

...

During an appearance on the February 5, 2016, edition of Fox News’ The O’Reilly Factor, Trump, then a presidential candidate, falsely claimed that the real unemployment rate was “25 percent, and probably higher,” in response to the suggestion that President Barack Obama deserved credit for bringing the unemployment rate down to 4.9 percent -- its lowest point in eight years:

...

August 2015: "Don’t forget in the meantime we have a real unemployment rate that’s probably 21%."

...

October 2014: The Official Unemployment Rate Is “Totally Phony.” The “Real” Rate Is “18, 19, Maybe Even 20 Percent.”

-----------

So there you have it. Before Trump became President, the unemployment rate was somewhere in the 20s. But with just one month in office and no policies passed except for a few executive orders, Trump managed to get the unemployment-rate down to 4.7%

From 37-39% to 42%. I told a Trumpite about Trump's numbers, and if we picked a number somewhere in that range, he brought the unemployment down from something like 40.1% to 40%, and I gave him two options for not being a hypocrite: either accept Trump's original numbers that make Obama look bad, and we're at around 40% unemployment, or accept we're at 4.7%, and we're there mainly because of Obama.

He refused both scenarios and got all pissy.

Govt figures will show an increase in social security tax receipts of $50 billion in quarter 1 as compared to quarter 4 if Trump is correct. From 175 to 225 billion, roughly.

Otherwise this theory is disproven.
