President Donald Trump pledged to forego a presidential salary, but as his second payday approaches, the White House is declining to say if the president has donated any of his earnings yet.

The Constitution, however, requires that the president receive a salary, and that it not be reduced during his term. Federal law mandates the president receive a $400,000 annual salary, paid out once a month.

Now follow me here. Tax day is upon us soon. Another tradition has been that the President reveals his tax returns to the public. So Trump will claim to have donated his salary to charity, thus he has no income and he doesn't have to release his tax returns.
I know it's bullshit, but that's what he'll do and his supporters will eat it up.
He won't release anything without full on subpoenas and other legal coercive methods.
