Are the Republicans scared to death of what might be found if there is an investigation?

Are they putting up a front that they don't really believe there is anything to be discovered in an investigation? In their hearts, they think Donald Trump is probably guilty as all hell?

But, it would be so devastating if only half of their suspicions are proven true. There is just too much smoke to not find any fire, and they know it.

They are waiting nervously for the shoe to drop.

You'd think the smart ones would be all over this, basing their reelection on their early support for a necessary investigation. The GOP has never sought nor preferred to elect men with brains, though, so that might be why they're all keeping low profiles and hoping it will all blow over, leaving their jobs intact.

Because they know this...

When Donald is finally revealed for what he is - and charges are identified - then this is the biggest giggle of them all (think about it)...

The Donald is going to sing like a bird. He is going to sing, and sing, and sing some more. Donald is going to rat out each and every one of them in an attempt to deflect blame and avoid accountability. And finally, Donald is going to sing because at his core he is a coward... he is going to sing so much that they might need to rent an Opera hall... and he is going to sing about everybody and what happened in the private meetings, because his thinking is that he can make a deal about treason...

And once he sings - (and especially if there is a special prosecutor) - he will also start lying under oath which brings even more stuff on his head.... and the GOP - guilty or innocent will be tainted by the poison that is Treason and is Donald.

Finally, even for the GOP voters, the ultimate knuckleheads - they and their families have bled red for this country since the beginning - at their core, they might be racist, but they are Americans and they may have to do some soul searching about what they have done, but they will not tolerate or accept Treason.... that is the straw about Donald they cannot reconcile.

My opinion.

You have the Trump leg humpers who will never believe Trump can do any wrong. They are too ignorant and incapable of critical thinking to arrive at any other conclusion.

Then you have the others amongst the GOP who are afraid of another Nixonian eff up. They will deny and cover up till the bitter end.

Nothing is going to be done about Trump until he has so screwed up the gov't and economy that a majority of the GOP Congressional seats are in serious danger.

Considering we re-elect incumbents at somewhere around 70 to 80 percent of the time that will have to be drastic.

The message has to be that the GOP owns anything that happens in our country.

They have the chance now to install their ideological utopian fixes to the country and world.

When the world bitch slaps them, just be their to tell them so.

No ideology is a silver bullet for the world's woes. The question is how big of beating are we going to taking before that hard cold truth settles in on the reactionary nutjobs.

There's a bunch of stuff hanging out there on him in one form or another. I don't think anybody has made a concentrated effort to deny it. Yeah, they've done the whole, "I'm shocked--SHOCKED, I tell you!" sort of denial, but I have little doubt that he's got some ugly shit floating.

I think, and I said this during the Primaries, he's got some good dirt on some of them, and I honestly think that once he was looking strong in those primaries the decision was made to let it all happen and make sure that they had a VP that was acceptable in case it got ugly. They COULD have stopped him at that level, but I think they pretty much just stood down. Once he named Pence as a running mate--conveniently enough, a guy that was SO radical he'd never get elected on his own merit--I think they all just played the game and "supported" the nominee. They figured they could get what they wanted completed while everybody was watching the distraction in the Oval Office.

At first, I think they thought they'd have a bit more time, however. I don't think they fully realized just what a dumpster fire they had leading the ticket. I think the panic at this point is the realization that they have to move up the timetable for all the really dirty shit like going after Granny's Medicare and gutting Social Security. They know by now that if they want that done, they will have to do it before those midterm elections because the impeachment hounds are already baying. They are rapidly running out of time. Every day that they can stall on releasing the tax returns and the various investigations it gets them a bit more time for fuckery.

I expect the talking points to shift over to The ACA repeal being driven by Trump and that the Congress was "forced" into the draconian version to appease his desire to repeal and replace like he promised in his campaign. They are gonna throw him under the bus THEN they will be "forced" to investigate his misdeeds. Knowing Pence is in the wings they are gonna be just fine hanging the Donald out to dry.

JMO.

Bannon recently began "investigations" on any potential challengers to 45 in 2020...
in order to create his own version of Kompromat...

It stands to reason that he did the same on key players (McConnell, Ryan, sessions etc) before the 2016 election.... just in case they caught a case of morality at some point....

I think one of Malcom Nance/Mensch twitter feeds had some posts from Khan..Khanosuir?
Anyway...,....
It showed who all received PAC $$ donated by companies linked to Russia.... it was interesting...

There is also an interesting Cyber connection....
the 5th season Apprentice winner Sean Yazbeck(sp?)
had 2 projects during his year w/ Trump
He was part of Trump Soho project and he partnered with Trump's company to found
WAVSYS ....
which is now a global IT /telecommunications, engineering, energy, etc firm

Who has connections to Listrack in Lititz Pa...
Which is where the server is with the address that was communicating with Alfa bank & Spectrum Health ......

Can you imagine the electronic data that such companies might be able to covertly access on DJT's behalf????
