Preet Bharara hints he was investigating Trump when fired

Bharara today:
"By the way, now I know what the Moreland Commission must have felt like."

And David Corn (from Mother Jones):
"Wow. Moreland Commission was created by Cuomo to probe NYS corruption & then disbanded by him. Is Bharara implying he was probing Trump?"

As Josh Marshall said, I'm going to wait for some more meat on this bone. But the only conclusion possible is that Bharara is hinting he was investigating Trump when fired.

1. When I hear news like this I like to think of what John Dean said recently

If this were a TV show you couldn't make up a better line, coming from a former coverup-leading White House counsel who gave up on Republicans because they are authoritarians. (If you haven't read Dean's book, you won't regret doing so.)

If he was investigating Trump and Trump fired him - he must have had some juicy info on Trump.
