At first i was bummed out trump was handed a good stable economy. Not any more.
I knew trump would take full credit for the good economy. He already has. Now he owns it. I was worried when trump added tax cuts and deregulation this would boost the economy and make him look good. I see something else now.
Trump and the republicans can lie about a lot of things but they can't lie about taking a good economy and trashing it. People will notice if the economy starts to go bad. Trump and the republicans are doing many things that are going to hurting the economy.
It is clear, trump and the republicans in congress are divided into at least 3 groups. Trump people, conservatives and nutbag tea party people. They can't agree on many issues. They are dysfunctional. They are stupid.
On healthcare, they are screwed. They cannot pass healthcare reform. They will probably trash obamacare and try to blame the democrats. This will hurt the economy.
On immigration, We saw how incompetent they are. What they are doing with immigration will hurt the economy.
They are gutting government agencies. That will hurt the economy. Trump and Bannon think you can run a government without functional government agencies. Duh!
When they try and pass their budget the republicans will be divided just like they are on healthcare. They will have a hard time getting their tax cuts and deregulation in place. Stagnation is going to set in. This will hurt the economy.
On trade. Trump is losing all credibility. Will leaders of other countries trust trump. Will they make new trade deals with him? Will trump pull out of trade deals? If he does that will hurt the economy
On top of this there are going to be many investigations. This will consume the whitehouse and the republicans in congress.
All of this will have a major effect on the economy. If the economy goes bad, trump and the republicans will lose support quickly. Even brain dead trump voters can notice a bad economy.
