Trump showed off Texas doctor claiming Medicaid expansion didn't help. Texas didn't expand Medicaid.

Pointed out in a tweet from HuffPo's Sam Stein:

Texas doctor at Trump event bemoans that Medicaid expansion hasn't done what Obama claimed it would. Texas didn't expand Medicaid.

And check out the comment in that thread from Todd Gillman of the Dallas News:

fyi that Texas doctor is the RNC committeeman from Texas, Robin Armstrong.

You only keep track if you care about getting caught. He throws lies out there and doesn't care if any stick or not.

Now that President Trump has put this lie out there, his minions will repeat it until they're convinced that it's actually true. Trump will then move on to his next lie. The sequelae don't matter. See, for example, today, which should be the day of reckoning for his reckless statement that Obama tapped him. It won't hurt his credibility, he won't have to provide any evidence supporting this very serious charge, and nobody in the popular media will ever hold him accountable for it.

There is NO PENALTY for their lies.
The people and the press do not hold them accountable.

But certain people will believe them, even Trump voters in Texas who know - firsthand - that there was no Medicaid expansion.

There are so many lies going back for a lot of years that to even debunk one you have to go through all the lies over the years to explain why something is a lie today.

You explain one thing is a lie and they'll come back with but what about this - and then you have to explain why that is a lie and they'll ask about another lie that makes the other lies not a lie, and you have to explain why it's all lies, and it becomes this endless task of debunking all the lies they believe are true.

It's like trying to prove 2+2 = 4 to someone who believes that isn't true. You keep proving the answer is four with facts, figures, charts, graphs, and ABC blocks - and they keep insisting that the answer could be five.
