Raw Story @RawStory 25m25 minutes agoIf hes not joking: Sean Spicer loses it when NBC reporter asks when can we trust the president? http://www.rawstory.com/2017/03/if-hes-not-joking-sean-spicer-loses-it-when-nbc-reporter-asks-when-can-we-trust-the-president/
NBC News correspondent Peter Alexander got an earful from White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer on Monday after he asked when it was appropriate for media to take President Donald Trump at his word.
Alexander noted at Mondays White House press briefing that then-candidate Trump had called unemployment reports phony, but he touted the same numbers after taking office.
You said, They may have been phony in the past but its very real now,' Alexander said, quoting Spicers words back to him. When should Americans trust the president? Should they trust the president, is it phony or real when he says President Obama was wiretapped?
He doesnt really think that President Obama went up and tapped his phone personally, Spicer explained. But theres no question that the Obama administration, that there were actions about surveillance and other activities that occurred in the 2016 election. That is a widely reported activity that occurred back then.
I guess the question is when can we trust the president, when he says something is phony or when he says its real? the reporter wondered.

NOBODY in the US should be allowed to lie to the public with no questions asked.
gratuitous
(82,849 posts)3. How does Spicer know what President Trump means?
Spicer claims that Trump "doesn't really think that President Obama went up and tapped his phones personally." Then why did Trump tweet that, if that's not what he really thinks? Which brings us directly back to Alexander's question. Maybe it would be best if Trump came out and answered a few questions personally, instead of hiding behind his staff?
