There might be something left in the wreckage as the inevitable pendulum swings. Some Republicans may actually see what is coming.

When it's really broken down, the Republicans really only won one thing.. the Presidency.

True, they did maintain majority in the house, but actually lost 6 seats.

True, they did maintain majority in the Senate, but actually lost 2 seats.

When you consider we just finished 8 years of a Democratic Party President in the Whitehouse, those are really crappy numbers.

Not since FDR has the Democratic Party held the Presidency for more than 8 years. The Republicans have only broken that trend with Reagan to hold it for 12.

2016 wasn't supposed to be a close year for them, and it wasn't one where they should have lost the popular vote for the Presidency (much less lost it by such a huge margin).

The fact that we didn't exactly do the smartest thing to do after having the Presidency for 8 years and have a hotly contested primary makes their barely winning even worse of an indicator for them.

They're drunk with power right now, and really, should be anything but.

the ones that drafted ACA, are all against ACA repeal. Lets hope the pressure is enough.

I'm curious how many of them, after saying they would NOT vote for Trump, did just that.
