I love the fact that they are still young enough to have an extraordinary life outside of politics. Thanks President Obama for reminding me every day that you were in office, how Great America was, and can be again. You made my husband and I, and our three black children proud Americans every day you were in the White House, by the way that the two of you conducted yourselves and the honor and integrity that you brought to the White House. Our family felt proud everyday to call you Mr. President, and Michelle, our First Lady, and you never disappointed us. We miss you, everyday. Enjoy every day of the rest of your life. You deserve it. May God continue to bless you and keep you safe.

To my fellow DU'ers, I miss having a President who is articulate, who reads, and isn't ashamed to let the world know that he likes to read (particularly his PDB's Presidential Daily Briefings), and who was so secure in his own person, that he never felt the need to tell us how smart he was, because we knew. A man so secure in his skin, that he did not hesitate to share with his suckscessor the benefit of all he had learned on the job, and before the job so that he might also be successful, and thus America would be successful, in spite of his trying to delegitimize him the entire time he was in office. Too bad his suckscessor was an asshole who despite his claims to the contrary, loves money more than he loves this country. Otherwise he wouldn't have sold her out to Russia for 30 pieces of silver.

The only satisfaction I take from this bad experience, (and every day I wake up and he's still in the White House is a bad day for America), is knowing that Trump will never be happy no matter how many pieces of silver and how many wives and buildings he has with his name on it.

I am white, but President Obama and Michelle treated EVERYONE the same. There is no substitute for CLASS, as tRump is proving on a daily basis. If the gop were honest, and we all know they are not, they would admit their Orange Leader is a DUD - BIGLY. I take consolation in knowing that he will bring the gop to its' knees with his stupidity. Who ever thought this country would eventually have a president who is mentally unstable, with a wife who can be googled worldwide for nude photos?? How low have we been dragged down by the "family values" party. Barak and Michelle look GREAT, glowing and full of health. They deserve a terrific life, and they are intelligent enough to enjoy their time out from all the stress put on them by ignorant people.

I cannot, and WILL NOT refer to him by the title he claims - completely ILLEGITIMATELY. Because he is a Russian PUPPET, installed in OUR White House by a hostile foreign power. I can NEVER call him that. The closest I can get to that is pResident. Because, technically, he does reside, some of the time, in OUR White House. I learned that one from a website I found early in 2001 that was called Resident Bush, for the same reason I just described. He WAS a Resident of OUR White House. Btw - that website is what originally led me here to DU.

was extremely impressive was his quest for knowledge. He really didn't have deep experience going in - and he was curious and learned and studied until he mastered the facts.

More than the evolution of people thinking Trump would becoming presidential at each milestone, it was actually - when would he start learning. Like many of us - it's easy to rely on what you know already - like Trump knows the business world. But, jeezus - to be president and not to even try to learn anything else - is what is so astounding.
