.... to protect Fox. I thought they hated Fox almost as much as all the other MSM.

I subscribe to the theory they either were tipped off or had their triggers tripped over the letter to the prosecutor requesting a trump DC hotel investigation.

My theory is they realized how exposed they were with anybody but a hand picked stooge in that office and they acted quickly.

I'm hoping this referral to the GJ is the first of several cases to emerge.
