Maybe we should push to have it called notcare, noncare or nocare. Because those that are conservative will instinctively approve of something named after either Trump or Ryan thanks to rightwing media.

That film is in need of a remake (or a rewrite to reflect the modern world).

(11,728 posts)There were 46% of eligible voters who did not vote in 2016. Some are conservative, some progressive, some undecided. There are also those who voted for Trump with whatever fantasy they had in their minds about "change". We are wanting to have this policy, which will undoubtedly fail and cause harm to people, be attributed correctly. It is the GOP's plan and Trump is the leader of the GOP. Hang Trumpcare around all of their necks.

This is just like the media using the term "alt-right" instead of White Supremacists.
It gives shelter to the white supremacists, and assigns some nebulous term for them in the media.

Trump does not want this to be called TrumpCare. It not only reflects poorly on him, but it also might damage the next iteration of it. There is a lot of pushback by Trump's White House on using TrumpCare as a term for this new plan.
The RWers want to call it RyanCare to set up Paul Ryan as the pasty for this mess.

It is imperative that we stay on message and retain TrumpCare, so he owns it!
After all, he is the de facto leader of the Republican Fascist Party and accepts credit for everything else.
