(7,768 posts)His approval has dropped to 39%. He's dropped 6 POINTS IN TWO DAYS! That's a big deal.
Falling into the 30's this soon is historic. It may mean some of his base is turning on him.
For a vain, glory-seeking, attention-whore, this is going to freak him out.
Control-Z
(15,682 posts)Didn't know he broke into the 40's.

(59,501 posts)(From a -10 to a -5) in his favor. I assume it was mostly just a polling outlier. It spooling out meant that today would likely be a bad day for him (but a good day for us!) - yet today shows that he also had a really bad day day yesterday as well. If you look at the net column - he has been down by 2 digits more than half the time and hasn't been positive since the first week - when he barely was.
His numbers are incredibly low compared to any past President. Remember this is called the honeymoon period. Obama had numbers around 60 with unfavorables around 30 - I assume some Republicans couldn't bring themselves to say favorable. Yet, in spite of this he acts like he won in the landslide that only he speaks of. He ignores that the Senate moved in our direction, though unfortunately they are still in control. I hope the numbers stay low - or get lower. The lower they are, the more swing district Republicans will fear being too closely associated with him.

(5,611 posts)His numbers have been historically low, as in the lowest EVER, for a new president. Not one president (ever -- at least since the dawn of polling) has had numbers this low.
What I can't believe is that this jackass, whose ties to Russia are so blatant and who is setting about tearing our government institutions to shreds (like the new "streamlining the executive branch" executive order -- and nobody is really saying anything about it!) is still in the White House.

(369 posts)because they show the level at which most of the American populace pays attention. Only when it breaks through in banner headlines and affects them personally do they care. The rest of it? Corruption, the sacking of the NY prosecutor, licensing deals w/ China, graft for Jared, etc., etc., etc.--they couldn't give a rat's ass, and indeed, probably are blissfully unaware. i.e., they don't know and they don't care. Their lives are concerned with pocketbook, not with the larger questions of principle and the far-off ramifications of policy.

(5,810 posts)to the Russians. Old Vlad Putin to be exact. They may still be fat, dumb and happy for a while longer but once the chickens come home to roost, it won't be pretty. Insurance ripped away, no coal mining jobs and Vlad style disruptions here in the U.S. Oh, my? Not so happy now, are we? Cry me a river. We tried to warn you but you were too excited over your new red hat to listen.

(369 posts)you think repug's in congress are going to stick around if trump drops to 28 percent? they'll suddenly see the wisdom of establishing that select committee to investigate russian ties.

(12,212 posts)but they're working hard at getting that fixedby pulling 24 million off health insurance.
The GOP loves a bad economy and a high deficit.

(5,801 posts)they can prop up this monster and keep winning through voter suppression and other forms of election rigging. That's why they don't care about dump's low poll numbers.
