There is NO debate cigarettes cause cancer and there is NO debate

carbon dioxide causes climate change.

But Pruitt says no, and these guys say yes

The American Meteorological Society has written to the new head of the US Environmental Protection Agency to correct him after he claimed carbon dioxide was not the primary cause of global warming.

Being nitpicky here perhaps, but cancer isn't the biggest problem.

Smoking does not cause cancer as many people smoke who do not suffer from cancer. However, lots of problems may ensue. And of course smoking may contribute (even heavily) to a person developing cancer.
