Maddow's show and tax release tonight is bad for DJT and good for Americans

Yes, not much info was released. But it gets the tax issue back into the news - bigly. It's all anyone will talk about tomorrow. Rachel did a good job explaining how this return was only the tip of the iceberg and we need to know more.

As for distractions -- they don't matter much, I think. Distraction for one news cycle from healthcare isn't a big deal. And the GOP is screwed with the healthcare bill no matter how it turns out.
Taxes may distract from Comey tomorrow, and may distract from the EO aimed at destroying government. But all in all, it's worth it to get the nation talking about taxes again.

Let's just all hope that the broadcast media tomorrow talks about the vital need America has for Trump's detailed tax returns and financial entanglements. If the dominant story tomorrow is about the number of dollars of taxes paid I'm going to despair about our country again.

She made the decision to promote and hype the show as being more than it actually was.

However, she could have done so in order to get more eyes watching (and listening).

She delivered a persuasive argument for why someone should leak. I just hate that she hyped the show as being more than it was.

And you are wrong. The Russia story isn't going away.

Watergate wasn't resolved in a week.

Just because you might expect everything to explode in one 30 minute segment doesn't mean reality happens that way.

Already happening. So incredibly obvious and desperate. His camp pulls the same trick every time something negative (like Comey tomorrow) is expected to come out. One would think they'd have a bit more finesse. One of the pages is stamped 'Client Copy'.

It doesn't have to be Trump. In fact, I'll bet the a$$hole wouldn't know where to find them--he'd have an assistant
or secretary or accountant or bookkeeper have to retrieve them for him.

folks no one would ever suspect could have seen various years of his tax returns.

This seems to be his MO. I expect he'll attack MSNBC like he did Buzzfeed.

Its consistent with his attacking journalists going after him.

All it does is keep the issue in the news.

I have been heartened that senators and media members have kept the heat on Trump for the accusations against Obama. DJT is not going to get issues to go away by tweeting about them, he's just going to make his crappy approval ratings worse. And when he loses the support of his base the Congressional GOP is out, investigations start, and "I am not a crook" Part 2 happens.

Her ratings have been high. This could have been a set up to discredit her, but I am not biting.

She has been excellent with the Russia connection to trump.
