Li'l Donnie's Diarrhea of the Mouth and Hands
There is probably some technical/medical term for diarrhea of the mouth, but it seems more befitting to use the common term. And it is what Li'l Donnie has mastered being a celebrity. He has "great ideas", but he doesn't take the time to sit down and think them through or get them organized. Instead, he spouts something off the cuff and expects us to believe that sometime down the road he will make good--at least partially. The problem is that, now he is in the WH, the country hangs on every word, expecting more precise details of how he will act. Examples include: I will release my taxes, plan to get rid of ISIS, and Obama tapped my phones.
Words addressed to a TV audience do not have huge consequences. Words addressed to a nation have major consequences. Li'l Donnie is habituated to think in terms of speaking as a celebrity, not as a statesman. We must remember this fact before getting wound up over his latest statement or tweet.
