So if there is an FBI investigation how does Comey testify openly

I mean if there is a Russian Investigation ongoing doesn't the FBI have to not say anything about it? Or will COmey come out next week and simply say there is no investigation?

If there is an investigation he won't be able to say absolutely anything about it.

He's going to drag his feet on this until he's compelled by subpoena. And even then, he will just state something along the lines of yes we are probing on the Russian involvement in the election and ALL ties to them. Then state he will not comment on an ongoing investigation.

Putting my tin foil hat on.....

He won't let the shit hit the fan until enough GOP voters get sick of him. Then he'll pave the way for President Pence.

5. My instincts tell me he is.

Wiki-leaks said as much and Pence denied it. They probably already know 45 is in trouble and made that statement to keep him in the hopes for a bit longer. He's destroying US credibility around the world, which is exactly what they want.

And of course, Pence has to deny it and pretend he's not going to overthrow of the pretender. I think Comey wasn't trying to get Trump elected as he was as so much trying to get Pence elected.

The Russian hacking did the damage, and from what I read, the Kremlin was happy with that much as it would have kept Clinton in her first term busy with domestic and legitimacy issues. Which is why the Kremlin didn't cover its tracks very well (or Putin wanted Clinton to know as he is known to despise her), they didn't expect Trump to win. Comey realized he could capitalize and throw the election...then bring down the guy he got in, securing him a place in history and get his guy in the oval office.

It reads like a spy novel, but stranger things have happened.

If there was nothing he could easily say there is nothing.

If he is being political then yes he will want to have a 100% iron-clad case-closed investigative result. Plus that way if he gets fired immediately the results are still the results and Congress will have that information.
